Rachell Phillips, RN, MSN-ED, FNP-B
Chief Nursing Officer
I started my career out over 18 years ago as a direct care staff for a group home with adults with behaviors/special needs. While working with the disabled population I decided to further my education leading up to a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Education. I currently am a registered nurse. I have been a Director of Nursing in a psychiatric setting several years which psychiatric health is my passion. Prior to this, I was a director of nursing in a county jail overseeing the nursing and mental health department. I have also taught nursing school four years as well. Earlier in my career, I worked in an ICU setting in an inner-city hospital in Camden, NJ as well as a psych nurse in a psychiatric hospital in NJ. As far as my educational background I received my Diploma in nursing from Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Blackwood, NJ, my Bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Delaware in Newark, DE, and my Master’s degree in Nursing and Health care education, from University of Phoenix, and as of May 31, 2022 I have completed my Family Nurse Practitioner Program. My hobbies are vacationing on a beautiful beach with the family, and line dancing (No, I cannot dance I just love it). My pastimes I have worked as a member of the National Black Nursing Association, APIC, Chair of Graduation committee, charge nurse, tutor for NCLEX exam, mentoring, and BLS Instructor, CNA, MHT, infection control nurse, nurse educator, and nursing supervisor, and so forth. Needless to say I am passionate about caring for others and love what I do and joining Park Royal Hospital has been such an amazing part of my career.
